Helena Barquet and Fabiana Faria first crossed paths working together at an art gallery in New York. Through a shared design lens, came the desire to create a unique collaborative space where conversations with the artist and designers allow for an ongoing creative exchange.
The doors of Coming Soon opened in 2013, a one-of-a-kind furniture design, gift and home styling shop. Helena and Fabiana’s personal approach to retail has allowed them to cultivate a community where artists, designers, writers and neighborhood locals come together to introduce and to discover treasures with a personality of their own.
Their appreciation for an aesthetic that bares a sense of inherent ingenuity combined with an intimate ‘studio visit’ perspective with the designers, has made Coming Soon a New York design staple with a sense of unity that is effortlessly welcoming.
We visited Helena and Fabiana at their showroom located right at the intersection of New York’s Lower East side and Chinatown.
