At heart, I’m a collector of memories, moments, and tokens of time—elements that spark emotion. Inspired by Wunderkammer (“Wonder Rooms”), once used by European elites to flaunt status through curated curiosities, I’ve created my own, reimagining the concept to expose its colonial roots.
My work honors spirits taken for display and vanity. The central piece, “Still,” confronts themes of pain and loss, hanging like a relic on chains, evoking both medieval torture devices and sacred artifacts. The lightbox piece reinterprets familiar imagery to remind us of the patterns of destruction we often overlook.
This retains the main themes while making the text more concise and impactful.
